Identity Theft

 With identity theft on the rise and with more and more information about you available on the internet, now would be a good time to review your personal security/passwords that you have on various accounts/logins.  My suggestion is that you have a set for financial accounts and a completely different set for MySpace, Yahoo, Google, etc.  You can write these down on paper, but I wouldn’t keep them in a file on the PC.  Remember to set your challenge questions to only something you would know, and not something that is general knowledge.  Yes, someone does know your birthday.  Here is a good article on how someone's identity was stolen in an hour.  It will give you insight on how these types of things are done.

Welcome to UCI/Acadia's Extranet

New users will have to creat an account to the left.  Once you recieve you registration email, you will have to click on the link inside of it to continue your registration process.

This is a very new web site.  Please look around once you are logged in.  At the top you will find Forms, Photo Galleries and a place to add an event to the calendar.  In the WebLinks section, you will find links to 401K, health, dental and a link to our webmail application.

If you have any suggestions as to content, please let me know!!  I need all the ideas to make this a better tool for you.

Not everything is working yet.  I plan to add things as we progess with this.  Check back and see what is being changed every week.

Eventually this site will be bilingual.
